Using SATA spliters is always a risk and i wont recommend it
If you need more SATA power connectors buy more cables for your PSU or buy a new PSU

splitters are fine as long as you aren't going over what the cable or the connection is rated for.

don't convert a SATA to a dual 8-pin or convert a molex to a dozen SATA or something dumb and there is 0 risk with adapters.

A 2 way splitter should be fine for hard drives. I wouldn't split it more then that for hard drives. SSD's hardly use any power so you should be fine.

if i may;

thats fine. whats the power draw for and ssd? i think its 3-5w max using the 5v so ~2A. and mind you that is max; sustained sequential writing.

like pook pointed out - there are a ot of janky set ups people can/do try and also a lot of crappy cheap 2¢ parts; which causes shilka's concern. really, i'd trust icy dock.

You may

I was going to use a 2x sata connector that comes with the PSU then connect one of those Drive Cage bays to one sata and another so I can connect 4 SSD to one cable.

Reason for this is because I want to have a clean Lian Li PC-O11 and need 4 ssd so I would put 2 of these brackets in a drive bay since I have 2 bays

SATA has 15 pins and 9 are for power. Each pin is rated for 1.5 amps.

The 3.3v pins (AFAIK) aren't used on any consumer SSDs or HDDs, so if you ignore the 3.3v pins you can draw a max of 9 amps off a single SATA if you're abiding by the spec.

You can likely slightly exceed that rating without having any issues but with as many SATA connections on PSUs nowadays there's really zero reason to risk it.

Based on your information I should be fine with using that? I was going to use one sata splitter with 2x Samsung 860 Evo and another Sata Splitter with another 2x Samsung 860 Evo all are 2TB..

Kind of worried
