So, my first unit came with upside down decals, missing screws, missing cable ties, and missing case stickers.

I got my second unit today. Everything looked great until I hooked it up and installed Windows 7. I ran the Index score and an insanely high pitched whine appeared out of nowhere. It is a loud whine and changes from low to high tones depending on the task.

I read the FAQ and disabled all power items. Still the problem is going on. I put in my Corsair 1000 Watt PSU to make sure its not the MOBO or the GPU. 1000 Watt unit worked GREAT.

I put back in my 1200 one, and bam nothing but loud whines. Not even a quiet hum, but a screeching noise. Corsair has really dropped the ball IMO. Other people are having issues with their PSU's too ranging from stickers to missing pieces.

I ordered a Sparkle Gold Rated PSU. Hopefully they know how to put on their decals and put in proper components that don't create high pitched noises.

It is starting to get worrisome... I wonder if the first couple batches were just done wrong.

Ok.

Not that I was planning on buying twice as much PSU as anyone on this site needs...

I bought both units from Newegg. They next day air'd me my second one and now that came nice with all the accessories, but the actual PSU is defective. I would expect this from a $20 dollar PSU. Not a $300 "tested" gold rated top teir PSU.

I ordered a Galaxy Gold Rated PSU. Hopefully they know how to put on their decals and put in proper components that don't create high pitched noises.
First off, I think you just have a faulty unit because the AX1200 is an amazing power supply. Did you try getting an RMA?

Second, is that an Enermax Galaxy? I've never heard of Galaxy making PSUs.

I can understand one unit being faulty, that's bound to happen.
But two units? IN A ROW?

This isn't good at all, I hope Corsair doesn't go the way of PC Power And Cooling.

I did an RMA for the first unit. Now the second unit has problems.

I meant Sparkle

Honestly, case stickers? You're claiming part of the reason they're dropping the ball is due to missing case stickers? Hmm...

Yeah. couldn't be a sign of a lack of quality control now could it?

Squealing caps + misaligned/missing stickers = Cheaply hobbled together 650/750 labelled as a 1200.
