Hello Overclockers,

I currently have two NVMe drives:

970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 1 TB SSD (Storage)

Intel Optane 905P 380GB M.2 NVMe SSD (OS)

I was wondering if anyone knew of any software that I could use to possibly performance tier them as RAID doesn’t look like it will be possible option in my setup.

I tried Enmotus FuzeDrive but it never worked and although they have exceptional support and customer service we where not able to get it working on x2 NVMe drives.

Or should I just stick with the old fashion way of doing things and stick with one for the OS and one for STORAGE. With all the advances In tech you would figure there would be a better way of setting up multiple drives to run lighting fast.

Thoughts and opinions are always welcomed.

Thanks in advanced!!!

I run them individually, on taxing tasks I write to different ones simultaneously. I've tried raid in the past with them, but it actually seems slower for pretty much every workload.

I guess if you have one data stream that requires more than 3GB/s or so then it might be beneficial, but only for that task as everything else performance wise basically tanks.

After about 1 GB/s, the noticeable difference in everyday usage is negated anyways... so really there isn't much that a single decent nvme drive can't handle when properly setting up your workflow.

@AllenG thanks for your response. I don’t disagree with you I was tinkering around with Enmotus FuzeDrive software and I never got it to work but just the installation taxed the drive to the point where booting into windows now takes a while, not like before that was almost instant. I’m still in the early stages of these drives so I think I might just refresh the PC and start over. Hope it will fix my problem.

I appreciate your input on the matter.

Why not get a Hyper M.2 card and run them in Raid 0. That's what i'm doing with my Intel's. The Samsung are using the on board Raid
