I am pretty sure will be hard to salvage but you can try. Extremely baffled how a gtx1080 under water for 2years goes like that. Temperature were normal when I did the installation for him two years ago. Cpu temps were normal so that takes out the loop. I am pretty sure the block was mounted right.

Last time i suggest ekwb (i stopped ekwb for my own builds already). Also why i dont have faith it will be rma - easy denial from msi.

I'm in as well.

#2 their debt is insane, even for a "diverse field" company. They cannot even afford to service the debt maintenance let alone make an actual dent in the debt itself. - Internet Stranger

In if regular shipping is <$25 or so.. No need for insurance or quick shipping, especially if the card's dead.

I will check on shipping. That was just estimate based on my own shipping experience. I will try rma first, maybe it ends up becoming an replacement working gpu.

Why does everyone want a dead card? Iirc msi always had reliability problems in the old days.

In my opinion, it's worth the risk given the current value of a GTX 1080. A new GTX 1080 in Canada is over $700 ($650 + Tax and shipping if applicable).

If some initial testing were unsuccessful, I would definitely contact MSi myself or take it to a local repair shop to get a quote. Sure, it may end up costing $300 but thats a worthy investment to me.
