Outlook 2019 Keeps Prompting For Password

My Outlook 2019 keeps randomly popping up a prompt every so often for the e-mail password, even though I already know I have all the right settings and password because all my e-mails come through just fine. Here’s a screenshot. So how do I trouble shoot this and make it stop doing this?

One weird thing is that Outlook somehow appears to have automatically changed my e-mail server names because those aren’t the server names I put in when I first set up the accounts. It was actually confusing at first when I was setting up the e-mail accounts, because Outlook wasn’t exactly clear on how / when / where to enter the incoming and outgoing server names. Does Outlook somehow know how to automatically figure what the server names and port numbers are supposed to be? And how come it keeps asking for the password again and again?

Thanks.

is the mailbox updating?

as to what they can and can't figure out. not enough info to give a non-asinine answer. basically, yes and no? depends on if the exchange/mail server its looking for pushed out a naming convention update.

credential manager - delete all existing outlook credential sets.

re-authenticate, select remember me.

Well, I'm not sure what all that means, credential manager, re-authenticate. I'm not sure what / where to click...

credential manager is part of windows, type it into the search bar, open it, find entries labeled ms.outlook, or similar, and delete them.

what are you actually trying to accomplish? Who's mail server is this? An employers? Educators? Are you sure you have the correct information to access? the ports typically don't matter, and the "send/receive" address is typically one in the same these days.

What I'm trying to accomplish is to not have it keep randomly prompting for a password when I I've already entered the right password and checked the box to save it. I have it set to automatically check e-mails once a minute, and most of the time the e-mails come right through with no password pop-up prompt. But every once in a while, it pops up for some reason. My mail servers are:

Incoming: pop-server.tampabay.rr.com 110
Outgoing: smtp-server.tampabay.rr.com 587

But for some reason, Outlook 2019 changes 'em to:

Incoming: mail.twc.com 995
Outgoing: mail.twc.com 587

This is my own personal computer that I own with my own personal e-mails, not an employer or school computer.

Hi,
Depends on where the domains exist
Domain companies like godaddy/.... give in and out going servers to use.

Any online company like outlook.com/ gmail.com/.... I wouldn't know if they self configure or not pretty basic email password and approval through pop3..

can't ping the second set.

do they resolve out the same for you?

don't know much about the ISPs over here, opssible mail.twc is an alternative/better route its auto resolving?

back to the PW spam.

possibility is extra saved credential sets withing windows credential manager. it's pretty intuitive in there

its nice and quiet over here, I like it. I work right in "downtown", and stay out past the suburban sprawl east of 95.

in case you missed my edit -

don't know much about the ISPs over here, possible mail.twc is an alternative/better route its auto resolving? i can't ping it, but doesn't mean a whole lot.

back to the PW spam, assuming its allowing you to reconnect when you enter your credentials.

possibility is extra saved credential sets withing windows credential manager. it's pretty intuitive in there
