Only 50 people signed it, and how many are actually engineers? I'm guessing if it were actually engineering staff it would have been mentioned and the project would actually be at risk. lol

It's reasonable for employees to feel this way. You have to draw the line somewhere if you don't want to be a company that makes tools of war and I have no problem with them drawing the line at anything that can be used as a component of any offensive system, period.

They could just transfer them and hire replacements with that $479 million.

It's a mainly a US thing but others do it too. War for profit.
Many of the largest manufacturers are where they are becasue of military/weapons, even if they "just make planes" like Boeing. Many of the names aren't common to average people but the companies they own are, many made possible becasue of weapons.
I was actually speaking metaphorically, but I suppose that works, too.

If they truly had the courage of their convictions they would resign their positions. If it were my choice I would fire them all.

So if I take a hammer, which is a tool and use it to bash someone's head in...It's now a weapon.

when did HMDs become weapons of mass destruction?
from what i recall they're just as useful as smartphones in the hands of soldiers.

or maybe Hololens are actually lethal devices?

but thats the thing, i can't imagine Hololens ever having much of an actual threat to anybody's lives, even if you use it to bash someone's skull in.

trolling an adult is very dangerous, don't try it at home nor at work. you don't want to play tag with a rabid man.

Unless it is a semi-automatic rifle, then it is an "assault" weapon.

You realize cellphones can be used as weapons, right? Think about it.

I can hack your phone, steal your identity, steal whatever information I want off said phone. I can turn your phone against you, and spy on basically any aspect of your life.

Example:

I can send you fake text messages, or phone calls from people in your contact list...Get you to go exactly where I want you to, and BAM..You are dead!

Here's the definition one more time:

A weapon, arm or armament is *any device that can be used with intent to inflict damage or harm*. "
