BP has faced fresh embarrassment in the wake of its Gulf of Mexico oil spill after it admitted to altering a photo on its website that appeared to exaggerate the activity at its command centre in Houston.
The original picture, which was posted over the weekend, shows workers monitoring a bank of 10 giant video screens displaying underwater images. However a few telltale discrepancies on the image attracted the attention of the Americablog website, which has since published new reports of altered images on BP's website.
The Gizmodo blog has published what it says is yet another official BP image of the clean-up operation that shows obvious signs of alteration.

Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill... they were just prettying up the photo.

I was expecting to see all kinds of fake screens and fake people photoshopped into an image... all they did was tile the image so all the screens had something on them. This is about as "controversial" as photoshopping pictures onto laptop screens in computer ads.

Now its just a plain ol witch hunt.. now if they doctored it to make it look like its leaking less or not at all, while in reality is far worst.. well thats another story..

There are ways of telling if BP is a witch. Does oil sink in water?

There is no 'ctrl' button on Chuck Norris's computer. Chuck Norris is always in control.

BEDEMIR: Quiet, quiet. Quiet! There are ways of telling whether
she is a witch.
CROWD: Are there? What are they?
BEDEMIR: Tell me, what do you do with witches?
VILLAGER #2: Burn!
CROWD: Burn, burn them up!
BEDEMIR: And what do you burn apart from witches?
VILLAGER #1: More witches!
VILLAGER #2: Wood!
BEDEMIR: So, why do witches burn?
[pause]
VILLAGER #3: B--... 'cause they're made of wood...?
BEDEMIR: Good!
CROWD: Oh yeah, yeah...
BEDEMIR: So, how do we tell whether she is made of wood?
VILLAGER #1: Build a bridge out of her.
BEDEMIR: Aah, but can you not also build bridges out of stone?
VILLAGER #2: Oh, yeah.
BEDEMIR: Does wood sink in water?
VILLAGER #1: No, no.
VILLAGER #2: It floats! It floats!
VILLAGER #1: Throw her into the pond!
CROWD: The pond!
BEDEMIR: What also floats in water?
ARTHUR: A duck.
CROWD: Oooh.
BEDEMIR: Exactly! So, logically...,
VILLAGER #1: If... she.. weighs the same as a duck, she's made of wood.
BEDEMIR: And therefore--?
VILLAGER #1: A witch!
