sorry if this goes in software - please move if so.

I am wanting to know the best quality audio player to hear lossless music as it was meant to be heard. I use winamp/itunes for my mp3s, but wasn't sure if there was a better program to use for higher quality audio? thanks in advance smile.gif

You can get plugins for FLAC etc, to use with winamp.

There are other programs though like Foobar and MediaMonkey which will play just about any file-type right out of the gate.
I personally like Media Monkey, very simple, plays anything, built-in burner, syncs mobile/media devices, and can even convert file-types on the fly (last 2x are only w/ the "Gold" version though, not free).

The program won't matter really, so long as it supports FLAC. Your equipment will matter more.

I prefer Clementine, It runs FLAC right out of the box, plus It's really nice to use and can even sync with Ipods and such

AIMP3 is great too, if you don't feel like customizing Foobar2K.
