Hi

I was wondering if anyone knew of semi-decent quality cheap earbuds. Obviously I prefer something with quality sound, but don't expect too much for such a low price, but sometimes there are some seriously underrated products around.

I use them for transport and they tend to break a lot, hence I stopped buying expensive ones.

I suggest the manual release hole on the optical drive. Bonus points if you eject the tray!

I have the sennhieser cx150 earbuds and think they sound pretty great for the $15usd I paid. Newegg has them on sale all the time over here. I also have the cx300, but the sound is not as well rounded as the 150's.

My wife said "It's me or the computer!" I still miss her.

You should check out the Sennheiser earbuds. Newegg has the $25-30 ones on sale for about $15 every now and then. I got the Sennheiser CX 150 when it was on sale for $14. The bass is really nice while the mids and highs are decent. Im comparing them with my Sennheiser HD 555s so its not a fair comparison, but they easily sound like $50 earbuds. I had some good Pioneer earbuds but I forgot the model though it was around the $15-20 price range when on sale.

Thanks for the replies. I can get Sennheiser CX 150 locally for €20.

I can order earbuds from China for cheaper though, everything here is so expensive. But then its such a quality lottery.

I whole-heartedly vouch for these:

Brilliant sound for the price. Take the time to find the correct shaped tips to get a good seal though. The sound is incredible when done right, considering the price. Truly, and I've had no issues with build-quality in well over a year, though I keep them in the pouch at all times when not in use. They broke in very well too, continuing to sound better and better for months. .

Damn those look great, and reviews are positive. In the Netherlands it costs €44 though frown.gif

Like a true cheap-skate, I have opted for the Chinese route. thumb.gif

Try hunting around for the same model I posted further. You might be able to get them cheaper of ebay including shipping.

Those cheapo ones might do you okay, or the positive reviews might be relative to the extremely cheap price. The ones I suggested sound more like $100 earphones. If you can get them for around $30 US, they're an absolute steal.

Personally, I can't stand *really* cheap headphones, but with a little careful research you can get definitively good sounding ones for a fraction of the prices I'm not prepared to pay.

Good luck with your choice.

Yea the thing is I wear them during cycling, in rain and snow. So I'm really not prepared to spend any more then I have to on earbuds. As long as I can hear my podcast I'm good. I can listen to my music at home on my 555's biggrin.gif
