I'm looking to fix some of my old headsets which all still work but are semi-broken due to bad wires as seen in the pic below.

Everything I need can almost by purchased from hobbyking but their shipping prices are very high and the rest I can get at a Radioshack, but they seem a little bit overpriced.
I need some wire, heat shrink tubing, wire mesh, six 3.5mm plugs to solder onto, and a heat gun.

Where would you shop for this stuff?
Is it normal for Hobbyking to charge $55 after shipping for a $17 order?
