7.1 headphone audio through ODAC?

I'm using an Objective digital auto converter and headphone amplifier. Specifically I believe it is the Objective 2 +DAC Rev B. Unfortunately I am finding that I have no options for 7.1 sound in the windows setting, and this is becoming an issue in FPS games. It's hard to tell exactly where the sounds are supposed to be coming from. In R6 Siege, sound from directly in front can sound the same as directly behind, because the left/right audio levels are the same.

Is there a driver available to run 7.1 sound through a DAC? If not, does anyone have any recommendations for a DAC/Headphone amp to replace my current setup? I'm not excited about replacing, as I like my current setup, but I primarily play games and directional sound is important....

All thoughts/input welcome. Thanks!
