Hmm, 4.7 is still reporting the 840 EVO mSATA as being on the current firmware. They may be throttling the rollout though.

Probably just like they did with $.6 and that FW update.

I found an M-SATA 840 EVO in one of my work drawers. It has data on it, so i'm gonna bench it, then see if it will prompt me for a FW update and post before/after results.

If it doesn't immediately prompt me, when the FW update is available i'll update with before/after results.

i restarted the pc two times and now it seems to be at 405 ~ 410, like when i updated the firmware, this thing is goofy

That looks like an HDTach run performed while some other process is reading from the drive at the same time. Speaking from experience.
