MZHPV256HDGL-00000 (Bought from Flexx)

Using a ASUS H97 Plus BIOS Version 2501

Using this PCIE card: http://www.amazon.com/NGFF-PCIe-Adapter-Samsung-XP941/dp/B00RTSFLBY/ref=pd_cp_pc_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=1C8CC3FKTYJ9ECPNSACA

It has a heatsink, but it seems like you need thermal pads on your chips to go in between. Since there is a sticker covering the chips I didn't bother to use the heatsink else I might void the warranty (Is there a warranty? No idea).

Other reason that I got a PCIE card is because my motherboard's M.2 slot runs at PCIE 2.0 x2. Not good enough. Even with the card, I still only run at PCIE 2.0 x4. (Need a better motherboard) frown.gif I think that's why my benchmarks are a bit slower than some of the numbers I've seen in the other SM951 thread. It's definitely faster than running off the M.2 slot though.

Awesome, yeah PCIe 2.0 x4 is still plenty fast smile.gif

I think you'll need a 1.5mm thermal pad for that, might even be 2mm heh, No need to take off the sticker on the SM951 just stick the thermal pad on top of it, That's what Plextor does with there new Black Edition M6e's.

Unless I was supplied with one I did not. I have a PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 slot on my test bench. :) I may have to get one for a RAID 0 review tho....but I think my boss is going to do that one. I'll be taking photos and initial benches today, I can't wait, but I have soo much other stuff I have to do before I can. :'(
