But how does it "feel" biggrin.gif Need to empty all my data from my Windows install so I can get ready for a fresh install when the drive gets here! Also need to update my BIOS .

Has anybody tried SM961 1TB as Windows 10 boot drive? What is the booting process speed up comparing to a standard SSD?

Got one on a Windows 10 (latest Insider build) running stock NVME driver (can't install Samsung's from 950 PRO) connected to Asus X99 DELUXE motherboard (with i7-5930K) M.2 port.
Seriously struggling at benching for Write performance, it's been like that for a few minutes already.
Am I missing something obvious ?

Still slow ish.

My setup is :
Asus X99 Deluxe
i7 5930
32GB
1080GTX (PCIE x16, slot 3)

No overclocking whatsoever.

The drive is connected to the M.2 slot from the motherboard.

Is there any recommended BIOS modifications to be done to get the most out of NVME drives ?
