OK thanks for the information - And your opinion of the SATA Express ports, but they could still be used as regular SATA 3 ports I suppose.
OK, another question, off topic for this thread but along similar lines of SSD's just so another new thread is avoided.
I've got an Asus Z97-AR which has 2 x PCI-e x16 GEN 3 slots - One of these slots could be used to house the adapter card for an NVME PCI-e GEN 3 @ x4 speed lanes to the CPU.
I've seen an adapter card that will house 4 x of these NVME M.2 drives - What is possible here? - One could just be installed and leave it at that or....... please elaborate on the options.
I've been reading up on the companies such as Western Digital, Samsung, Kingston, Crucial but it is difficult to know of every best option
Using an NVME in PCI-e x16 GEN 3 slot could help to get the best out of this system and use in conjunction with the chipset lanes
