Inland isn't very well known... I'd stick with the more established brands.

I bit the bullet and went ahead and snagged a new Inland Professional 480GB SSD for $39 on ebay. It has a 3 yr warranty.

I plan to use this as a gaming storage drive on a secondary gaming laptop on occasion.

This better be worth it.

In terms of durability, even a used SSD should outlast a new HDD. As has been said, SSDs are really cheap now but there is no reason not to use a used SSD from a durability standpoint.

ssd's are 100% worth it. Single biggest upgrade you can make after any sorta graphics card.

Inland is Microcenter's house brand, and a quick google search shows maybe Centon as the OEM. It looks to be comparable to most of the other budget SSDs on the market as far as performance and reliability are concerned, and it retails for ~$50 on Amazon new.
