M.2 NVME problems

I have a 1TB Sabrent M.2 NVME drive. Today when tried to install software the drive keeps crashing and i can't read it. But when i shutdown PC for 5 mins and restart it works fine unless i try to install something. How can i diagnose the error?

One thing I would check is the SSD temps under load.

What are the best tools is always a matter for debate.

In terms of a basic report on temps etc try downloading hwinfo: https://www.hwinfo.com/

CrystalDiskInfo also gets recommended a lot.

The drive manufacturer themselves may have some sort of downloadable tools available specifically for use on your drive.

Also some programs such as the Seagates seatools will still do a reasonable job of testing other manufacturers devices, you just may not get all the features.

It may just be faulty and need returning under warranty.

Pretty sure the controller is dead, don't bother and just RMA it.

It was originally bunch of encrypted and compressed files from a work thing. The guy has complied it into an executable.

then i tried to install adobe acrobat. both failed.

If you bought it less than 90 days ago register the warranty right now:

Do you have issues with anything other than these compressed program from work? Maybe the files are currupt.
