New M.2 Needed, Borked Installing Old One

Does anybody have any experience with the XPG GAMMIX S50? I managed to bork the install of my old MP510 into my new system and I'm looking at some Gen4 M.2 1Tb drives to replace it and this one looks to be a pretty good deal. It will be used in my gaming rig (Breezy) as the primary boot drive with a few online games installed and a 4Tb Toshiba as the primary game drive. Thanks for the input.

PS - Long story short, I left a M.2 mount in place under my MP510 and didn't realize it until I had already fully installed it. Probably cracked one of the chips and causing it to short out once it reaches a temperature.

How about anything on any of the Gen4 M.2 1Tb NVMe drives currently available to the United States? I've read some on the Sabrent, XPG, and Corsair lines, so I'm open to ideas and not stuck on a brand, just quality.

I'm stuck using an old Corsair Force GT 120Gb that I have lying around for right now and would like to get some objective opinions (I know, it's contradictory phrasing) before I make a purchase.

don't buy DRAM-less and don't buy QLC, otherwise just about anything is fine.

I was under the impression that the Gen4 NVMe drives weren't DRAM-less and were either TLC or MLC. Please, which ones are that way so I can avoid them? And thank you.

what PCI-E generation a drive is has no bearing on if it's DRAM-less or not.

Google "name of drive + DRAM" and you should be able to figure it out.

I'm running a 512GB Sabrent Rocket. It's not the best on the market, but it's what was available when I built this thing. I'm happy enough with it but honestly most of the Gen 4 drives are fairly close as far as speed and durability. My only real regret is getting the 512 instead of the 1TB.
