They are CPU crunching tasks and fall under [email protected] so a chance again at getting that badge again. I've gotten 9 so far and have been in batches as Travis is still working on the app. Hopefully it will be around for awhile after the scientist for Subset left:

2. I expect for this (and variants of it) once working to see a lot of use for quite a few years. This will drive [email protected] and some other interesting computer science research.

I received I think 6 last night on my Win7 desktop with 3770k. Seemed to run ok. Going back through some of the threads in their news forum there were some issues with the Linux app version missing a file. But Travis is working on the issues as they arise.

Good to know. We'll see when my rig pucks up work units for it, would be nice to give another one a go for a bit ^_^

I got another batch of WUs across 3 of my computers last night. v0.11 is out:

I've updated the applications to version 0.11. I believe I've fixed all inconsistencies so checkpointing and validation should really be working correctly now. It took me a bit of time as I had to write a few things by hand involving random number generation that weren't working across operating systems and then double (or triple check) that everything was running the same everyone.

On my Windows, Linux and OS X systems I'm getting the same results, so I hope this should fix those issues so I can get back to updating the assimilator and getting a steady flow of work going!

Let me know if you're having any issues.

I've noted that WUs stay at 100% for several minutes before being completed.

There is a new EXACT2 app out. I see a comment about it using 1gig of memory to watch out for that.

There is also a 150 and 49mb file to download to setup the project.

Edit: 1st one error'd out in 3 seconds. 32gb of memory for 8 tasks so its not a lack of memory. Good start rolleyes.gif

Edit 2: 1st 4 completed fine. Waiting on validation. Looking at wingmans successful WUs they vary in size quite a bit.
