Duchamp sourcefinder runs pretty well on Windows, I have not tried getting it running on Linux w/ virtual box... does anyone know if this can be done? At least asteroids could be run on my two Linux 2P machines.
In its early days, a batch of work units were only released once a week on sourcefinder, but the admin has put a bunch of work into the project and it seems pretty reliable now on getting work.

Once I fixed the root of all problems (Secure Boot) Cerberus was running it fairly well in Ubuntu 17.04 or whatever version I had on it. ^_^

Not sure what Blackhawk-2&3 will run, but I"ll play around with those when 3 is done.

Just fired up Sourcefinder on the 2P to see how it behaves.  Initial memory footprint is fairly small, but it does require a rather large amount of disk space.

Right now I am running 40 tasks, and memory usage is at about 15 GB and disk usage is at roughly 46 GB.  I'm not sure if the memory usage goes up as the units progress, but at least initially, the memory usage is fairly low for a V-Box application.

Do tasks drop back to 0.01% complete all the time and then go back up so their typical progress %?

Now it seems most have started over.

I ran this for a bit a couple weeks ago.  Over time I collected a number of tasks complaining of some resource or another that had paused themselves.  I never did figure out exactly what they were complaining about since I never caught the system out of anything obvious.  These tasks will never restart themselves without bouncing BOINC, then they will run to completion.

So far no issues running Sourcefinder on my 4790k in Windows or my E5-2680s in Linux.  First batch of tasks completed and are validating so far. :thumb:

*Edit*

14 Sourcefinder tasks paused with the following error on my 2P.

task postponed 86400.000000 sec: VM job unmanageable, restarting later.

It appears to have happened right as tasks were finishing up and new tasks were starting.  I haven't looked too far into the issue, because restarting BOINC fixed the issue and the tasks are running again from the last checkpoint.

Hah , it's the two projects I crunch all the time.

My Ryzen system is finally sort of setup and stable now, so I'll start crunching on it in VirtualBox. smile.gif

It gives me a reason to play with Manjaro more (I managed to bork it already tongue.gif).

Looks like he found some rare SRBase wu's, now that those are done, it's back to asteroids.
