I typically would just run 1 of those tasks and let the GPUs fulfill the gap or run an extra task or two on another client. For reason BM requested like 20 tasks each on my 2p and 1950x for like 100 estimated days which is well over the 0.25 days of queue. So on the 2p this morning I was only running 2 (4 threads each) of these with no other work to do since these take so long and the queue limit was obeyed. rolleyes.gif

I also got loaded up with SoB tasks when I first added the project. I just aborted them, and the scheduler has been behaving now. I am currently running a single task set at 20 threads. The first task I ran took about 12 hours to complete.

Be sure to watch out for the Universe tasks that run forever. Still seems to be an issue. I just aborted 3 that were running between 12-16 hours when the longest they should run is 2-3ish hours.

I forgot to mention that in the OP. I've been running it for the last few weeks, and roughly once a day I would have to abort a never ending task.

This must be something that just started, I've been running Universe for the past month and I just noticed I have 3 tasks that have been running over 1 day.

One of them says it has 9 days to finish. worriedsmiley.gif

It's been going on for awhile. The task name used to end in _10 and would run for days. 10 wasn't the resend #, it was a counter in the task names that would count up and start over.

This thread started in Dec 2016. A few posts down I ask about the 10 thing as it was known then. I used to just abort all of _10 even before they started. It was a waste of time. Now it's not something as obvious.

[email protected] went through like 3 app updates/new releases in a row that were all bad. BHSpin2 version update, Reionization, Quarkstars all had issues so the project is not the best having quality apps. Even the current BHSpin2 app has some tasks that take 6k seconds and some that run for 10k on the same PC for the same points.rolleyes.gif

This one goes back 2 years:

Rosetta credit is excellent right now. I wonder if its the 3 day deadline tasks they released on Friday that are the better credits.

Its more than that. Same PC, both mini. Yesterday 113k, today 57k and I probably ran more Rosetta project today than yesterday. I've never gotten anywhere close to 113k in a single day before.
