The XML user list that I used for Pentathlon individual stats for Einstein is still available, but it is no longer an XML formatted document.
FOR WCG the request serves up this:
<error_message>Access is denied. To request access, refer to https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=api</error_message>
All of the other projects that I tested still worked.
Here is the an example from CSGrid of the "personal" information that anyone can currently pull:
I had been messing around with BOINC-Userstats
to build a stats site for the OCN team, but I am waiting to see the fallout from GDPR. There have been a number of commits, for both boinc-client and boinc-server, to try and deal with the ramifications of GDPR.
The ridiculous way that WCG handled the situation by nuking everything notwithstanding, some of what WCG has done does make some sense as GDPR stands at the moment. Unfotunately, it will take years for cases to get through the courts, and the laws to be fleshed out in practice.
