Projects of the Month for July 2018

July Projects of the Month

[email protected]
Start: 15 - Goal: 13 - End: 15 | We have lost a few spots here, and there are a few teams that are coming up on us quickly. I think we can hold off OcUK and Planet 3DNow! while we try to make our way back up the rankings.
Citizen Science Grid
Start: 6 - Goal: 5 - End: 6 | [H] is coming up on us pretty quick. 5th is probably out of reach, but we can definitely make up some ground on SETI.USA.
[email protected]
Start: 23 - Goal: 23 - End: 23 | We have lost a few spots in Einstein over the last year. Let's see if we can start our way back into the top 20.

I just started up CSG, since i'm already loaded up with Rosetta and Yoyo, I only got one task. That one task says it's going to take over 1 day on my 1700x. Last time I ran it everything was only a couple hours.

I'll really be upset if there isn't a checkpoint on that task like I found with long srbase tasks.

CSG has been running good for me on my 4790k. The points are pretty nuts for a CPU project. I have been getting about 100k PPD just running 4 tasks, and that is with HT on so only using two cores.

Nice, I'm already running Acoustics going for 1mil.

I switched the 1070Ti and 1070 to [email protected] to go with the RX 580.

I'll get cranked up on CSG with my fastest machines.
Will also start shifting GPUs to Einstein.

And of course several other teams ramp production at the same time that are around us in overall and 2018 Marathon rankings.

Should some of these threads be restricted to team members?

Problem with such is someone has to maintain the list of applicable people, and then someone higher up has to ensure permissions are given and/or taken away. From what I've heard about various hidden sections, it's a royal pain to keep them regularly updated, hence why they aren't as fond about such.

I've been away for the last week, but now I'm back and I'll get an update posted later tonight. I'm crunching on all the POTM, since I am pretty fond of the projects this time around.
