Is WCG's MIP faster on Linux (mine is on Fedora 29 with Ryzen 7) or Windows?

► Recommended GPU Projects: [email protected] , [email protected] (FP64) (AMD moreso) ► Other notable GPU projects: [email protected] (Nvidia), GPUGrid (Nvidia) ► Project list

I don't think MIP1 is a VINA based app where those typically run much faster in Linux than Windows. But pretty much everything is faster in Linux by a small bit.

The admin went with something close to my suggestion and replaced the credit during those 3 crazy high days with an average from the 3 previous days.

OCN went up 5 positions.

POTM Update

World Community Grid
Start: 67 - Goal: 67 - Currently: 68 | Byteball passed us earlier this month, but with our average ppd tripling over the last few days, we are making up ground on Georgetown.
Distributed Hardware Evolution Project
Start: 21 - Goal: 19 - Currently: 16 | The credit anomaly has been corrected, and now we have a few teams creeping up on us. I'm going to throw some more cores at it once the WCG B-day challenge is over.
Collatz Conjecture
Start: 7 - Goal: 7 - Currently: 7 | We would need to increase our production by about ten fold to stave off [email protected] Not sure if that will be possible.

POTM Final Update

World Community Grid
Start: 67 - Goal: 67 - End: 68 | We had a nice month on WCG, with our daily average roughly double what we are normally at.
Distributed Hardware Evolution Project
Start: 21 - Goal: 19 - End: 18 | Goal achieved.
Collatz Conjecture
Start: 7 - Goal: 7 - End: 7 | [email protected] is putting up massive points, but on a happier note, we are getting closer to crossing the 50 billion point milestone.

It looks like they have Microstar Intl., as their biggest ppd producer? Lol! Wishing we could get a GPU manufacturer/distributor to join the team!
