It is defaulting to 2 cores per task on my 3570k. I haven't started any yet.

Edit: And it is its own separate app, Theory vs Theory Native so WUProp counts it separate.

Some Theory tasks have started to come through the pipeline as native apps. I haven't changed the preferences on my BOINC cruncher yet to allow anything but Atlas, but once I get the rest of my gear sorted out I'll allow some Theory tasks.

*Edit* Just saw your posts on the LHC forum. Maybe I'll wait a bit before firing up some theory tasks. Also, great explanation on the run-time discrepancies. Theory definitely doesn't look to be very multi-threaded at the moment.

Its actually listed as its own app and selectable, unlike the Native Atlas version, in the preferences so you were probably opted in by default.

Credits are abysmal for native theory. 2.2 hours for 16 credits on 1 thread. 1/10th of the vbox version. I'm just running it for hours now.

I've been running the atlas_native tasks, and once I got it set up I had a constant flow of tasks. The native tasks seem to run quite a bit better for me.

April POTM incoming later today.
