By the way, has anyone recommend me a good Mechanical Keyboard? And please dont answer "there are tons of threads, blah blah blah" please just share an honest opinion. Thanks Colt-45 for your opinion.

Are Ducky better than, say, Matias or Das Keyboard? I want to have also a mechanical one but would like to know your opinion...My main usage is GAMING and nothing else

My sense of aesthetics considers the Razer designs like really nice. Please suggest me something that appeals to my aesthetic taste (no hideous ugly MOFOs with like 8 colors please)

Get a CM Storm Quickfire Rapid, it's a rebranded Filco and MUCH cheaper biggrin.gif

It's not. While they are made in the same factory, it does not mean that it's a rebranded Filco thumb.gif

Weren't these the old SWTOR keyboards?

Did they get rebranded or something?

See this comparison of a filco tenkeyless and the cm storm quickfire rapid:
http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=Cy1JgF4_UT0

The differences:
- Color of the pcb
- Worser solder joints on the quickfire
- Placement of the usb pcb
- The pcb located under the arrow keys

EDIT: misunderstood you, you are right it isn't a rebranded Filco. I thought this because the PCB of the two boards are in fact almost the same.

That does not mean it's a "Rebranded" Filco.

Yep Rojoel, this is the same model just with a different chassis.

I think the black model looks waaay fancier than the ugly SWTOR model...

I actually skipped getting one of the SWTOR models that i had at hand because of the uglyness factor.

The screen can be useful but the price really does need to come down a bit. I've said the same about the Logitech G19. At least it has rollover without the bug that's in the newer Logitech Illuminated models. I'd still have to point towards the MS Sidewinder X4 as a good low profile rubber dome keyboard with nKRO since it's cheaper and more comfortable.

As far as I know the Illuminated has scissor switches, not chiclet.

I find it funny that the majority of the discussion in this thread is about what mechanical keyboard to get.

FYI, there is an SDK available now for writing your own apps for the SwitchBlade screen portion. Though I don't know of anyone who has actually used it...
