Simple Mechanical Keyboard for Work

I'm being forced to switch to my work computer which is a macbook pro. My cable management isn't going to allow me to switch my keyboard out without undoing it all.

I'm looking for a no frills mechanical keyboard. prefer TKL for this so its smaller. I was hoping for backlit but don't need it. Have no brand loyalty whatsoever.

EDIT:

Or do I just spend real money on a replacement to my blackwidow and use that for my work...........hmmm

CoolerMaster MasterKeys Pro S!

I've got one and it's nice. Single color backlight or RGB but whichever you get you can turn it off too.

I've got the white back light version with MX Browns. It's neat-o.

Maybe this will work for you? It is a full-size KB though.

In memory of Gracie, my sweet, sweet wife and mother of my children. Darling, we will miss you dearly. May you rest in peace (born to this world on March 30, 1976; went to her Heavenly Father on Good Friday, April 22, 2011).

That looks pretty nice, although I can't seem to find one in stock. I was also looking at this ducky:

A brand like that scares me to death. A thirty dollar mechanical keyboard. I didn't specify a price so that was by bad. Unless you have experience with that company.

The (much more expensive) RGB version is still in stock at Amazon. Not sure what happened to them all, I can't find any in stock either.

When I was looking for a new keyboard the Leopold FC750R was recommended to me too. Might be worth a look.

Heard good things about Ducky but never used one. I'm kind of a mechanical keyboard noob.

The Velocifire TKL01 on my second rig went through 3 RMAs before I got an acceptable one, and that one still has a few keys that only work when they want to

Not worth the hassle for $33.

That link came from a "Hot Deals" thread over on Hardforum that I saw earlier today so I figured I'd just pass it along for you to evaluate. So to answer your question, no I don't have any experience with that company.

And I'm not offended if it doesn't interest you.

All of those cheapo mech boards use the same basic PCB and outeumu switches. If you get browns, they feel half decent and since they are plate mounted it's easy to swap them if you get a few bad ones.

I ended up putting outemu ice purple 67g switches on a redragon k556 vara and some cheap (supposedly) pbt key caps and loving that board to death - feels better than a lot of 120+ dollar mechs.

No frills, tkl, and backlit?

Off the top of my head a backlit ducky one or Wasd's code keyboard.

That is what I'm leaning towards. There is a ducky for 89 on mechanicalkeyboards.com with browns they expect early June. Might just order that and use the laptop keyboard in the meantime. I got so used to just using my desktop for work since everything I do is cloud based, so pissed I have to use my work laptop now hah.
