Razer Huntsman / Elite

https://www.razer.com/gaming-keyboar...huntsman-elite

The long awaited purple optical switches from razer have finally released! The elite model includes the magnetized wrist rest (as far i can tell, i hate their site). They area clicky switch unfortunately, hopefully the red equivalent launches soon I dont know why they did launch them together...

Hopefully thisll stir cherry/corsair into releasing something, although if cherry had been working on something it was secret because all I've seen them pitch is those trash low profile switches nobody asked for.

Nothing wrong with this, a new switch design which is always good for the mechanical keyboard market. Also having even MORE 'clicky' switches at our disposal is a pure WIN every time .

Couldn't care less about Cherry Corp, they have now dropped off my wallet radar permanently with their dismal designs and switches.

Just might get the "Huntsman Elite" simply because I have a real-life female Huntsman nesting nearby and she would love having a Razer product close to her and her future babies .

Hope it's not typical razer quality.

I wish someone (except a4tech) made a full scale keyboard with numpad on the left though.

Just worried about every switch of theirs, having a metal stabilizer arm situated on either side of the switch housing.

What happens there, do you need to apply some lube and if so wouldn't dust and dirt eventually build up on it?

Just a weird type of switch never seen before, we'll need to try it out over a period of a year to see how it functions.

Happy that there is another style of switch but since this is it's debut, the first ones who buy it will be the very first 'guinea pigs' trialing this.

Overpriced, as usual.

Synapse 3, the huge tumor that destroys all their input devices, every time .

Such a shame they think their software is anywhere near the quality of Logitech's LGS. Not even in the same ball park here Razer, instead you lot decided to force your malware onto every product and that is why, I still have to avoid your products including this latest (expensive) keyboard.

You get 1 out of 10 for trying to produce something here but fail with your limp effort to COPY Logitech which are just better at it than you, especially when it comes to their own software driver.

Also your switches sound like Cherry Blues, not my fave switch sound so it's not even worth the extra money to buy another version of "Blues" .

tried the huntsman for a few days but returned it in favor of a bloody b845. The amazing thing about the bloody is how low the actuation force is and how fast it is. They even have a little app that lets you compare latency head to head with both keyboards plugged in. (any two keyboards in fact) You line up the boards spacebar to spacebar and put a wooden stick so that both spacebars can be depressed simaltaneously (I wonder what argument Einstein would make against that actually being simaltaneous).
