are Media keys on Ducky keyboards global in W10?

From what I've gathered, to get media keys in Win10 on ducky keyboards, the only way is to program them on some Layer 2-6 of the keyboard via some arcane commands. Dedicated media keys on other keyboards are kind of global, meaning even while gaming, you press them, your media player does what it's told and the game doesn't lose focus.
After binding those keys on a ducky, does it work the same or does the game windows lose focus when you use your bound media keys?

I've briefly gotten hold of a Ducky for a day and was able to test it myself. According to this - https://gist.github.com/schmich/4781...bfe2195ea222be - Play/Pause, Volume Up/Down Next/Previous Track worked like a charm. Testing with World of Tanks in Fullscreen mode, the game window didn't lose focus while the keys worked.
I didn't test the other combinations but they probably work too.

Every Ducky keyboard I own that has those "Media Keys" on the top Right-hand side, work in every version of Microsoft's Operating Systems.

In fact it even works in Win XP oddly enough, so you can relax Ducky provides all the media control keys without needing to use any combined-extra keys to initiate any media functions.

All you need to use is a finger to Mute, Increase or Decrease Volume or front up the Calculator instead .

I didn't even know my Blackout Shine 7 came with four media keys, best surprise ever!
I was using a USB jogwheel for seven years for volume before this keyboard. The volume keys work while fullscreen in games just fine, they literally always work.

Never had a keyboard with media keys that didn't behave this way.
