Keyboard Randomly Disconnecting
My Keyboard keeps randomly disconnecting from my laptop. I'll being playing a game, then Windows plays the "hardware disconnected" sound and my keyboard stops working. After a few seconds, they "hardware connected" sound plays, and my keyboard works again. As you can imagine, this is keyboard throw in the wall type shenanigan's.
System is Alienware 17 R2 with the AGA. Keyboard is the Logitech G710. Not the G710+.
Here's what I've tried:
1. Different Ports on laptop and AGA - Seemed to fix it for a while. I figure maybe its the physical ports, or the drivers, but it's hard to tell, as the disconnect is random on timing.
2. Power settings - I disabled the Selective Suspend for USB, and went to every USB Hub device in Device Manager, unchecking the box that allows windows to turn off the device to save power.
3. Crying - This did not help the issue, and it let to a fit of uncontrolled drinking, though Rick and Morty made me feel a little better. Perhaps I need to buy better booze?
Does anyone have any creative ideas? My next step is a different keyboard. Maybe I've just abused this one too much.
