So the holidays are just around the corner, and that means we'll have money to burn. I quite like the DA 2013, which I've been using since it came out, but I've found that the rubber grips on the sides don't allow me to lift it as easily as I would like. It feels like there's not enough space and friction to grip it with when sweeping it around, and it annoys my thumb/pinky fingers. Also, the DA has a rather large 'hump', which I've grown accustomed to, but am not overly fond of. Otherwise, it works out pretty well for my needs.

I've been looking at some other mice, particularly the Zowie FK and EC2 eVo. What are some of the higher-end mice that other folks use as alternatives to the DA? Should add that a textured surface may be preferable, as my palms tend to get moist after long sessions, making it hard to grip smooth surfaces. I tend to use a hybrid of palm and claw when I game, sometimes switching between the two.

Was pretty interested in trying out the Rival as well.

[OFF-TOPIC] Since you can claw your DeathAdder, how long are your fingers? I'd like to know.

Well, my hands in general aren't very large; on the mid-small side, actually, although my fingers have some reach. When I palm my DA, my middle fingertip tends to reach over the right button unless I bring my hand back a bit in more of an arch, which turns into a claw.

I see. Does it tire your hand clawing such a big mouse?

Sometimes, for long periods. Usually takes a bit of time to get the right 'feel' on the mouse. As the Rival is geared towards a palm grip, that might be a bit more suited to my liking. The DA's hump is probably one of the things I dislike most about it; it sort of forces my hand to hunch over the mouse, instead of simply resting neatly on it.

the Zowie family has a really low LOD which means it will lose track on some colorful mousepads even with a 9800 sensor, I emailed zowie and they say its normal .
Go for the Rival if you have bigger hands > 7.25 inch. if you have long fingers then don't go pure kone
