I've suggested they should do the same thing ROCCAT is doing (ZeroDebounce) and make it an option, either very low debounce + slam clicks or slightly higher debounce + no slam clicks. Fingers crossed...

Do you have any info on whether XM1 has the same issue?
Thanks

More or less obscure mouse, but the Valkyrie Pro 2.0 (only G9x clone on the market) has 16.1ms click delay compared to the Ikari.

Wireless Mouses Faster?

Howdy,

Can someone tell me how Linus's
video fits into this discussion? Linus's test found that several good wireless gaming mouses have an equal and sometimes better click-to-screen-response time as good wired gaming mouses. He used an interesting method: frame by frame analysis with a 1000FPS video camera. I see the click latency table in the first post and it made me wonder if Linus's results support the click latency table or not. I will admit to being a true novice here so I welcome all replies! Thanks! --Jhana108

The test methodology isn't ideal, because some mice go into a power saving mode when not actively moving, and you're clicking at the end of the motion, not the start of it. It would be much better to compare the USB output of a mouse to the output of an independent linear encoder, so that you can compare linearity and latency over the whole motion, not just the start point. It's also dubious to use a high speed camera for this, when you could just read the USB data directly, and avoid all the confounding variables of the PC's render chain, and the monitor's refresh rate.

Do you have this mouse with you? I've been curious about it for quite a while.
And apparently you can adjust the click latency in the software. Have you tried doing so?

Noticed button up on the M545 wireless seems to take surprisingly longer.

Kinzu v2 USB showing better symmetry

24ms up or down FW 0.98.

Logitech M150 wireless
Down : Avg 7.92, Min 5.99, Max 10.00, Median 8.00
Up : Avg 39.03, Min 38.00, Max 40.01, Median 39.97
Times in milliseconds
Again wireless showing much longer time for mouse button up

Generic Sigmachip MX8733 USB
Down 16 ms
Up 16ms

Measurements are absolute, not relative.

I bought a zalman zm-m600r. The click latency chart says fm1.18 to 2.26. Mine came with firmware 2.29.

Was version 2.29 firmware tested?
Is it possible to downgrade firmware?

First time I'm hearing that the M600R came shipped with a FW this recent.

In general, I'd advise against updating to any FW past the release one on the Zalman. Read from here onward for further details.
