http://blog.logitech.com/2017/06/11/reinventing-wireless-pc-gaming-4-years-making/

POWERPLAY looks to be a wireless charging technology that uses a large area charging pad, so the mouse can be used while charging, and doubles as a gaming surface. It doesn't appear to be groundbreaking technology, but Logitech claims it to be the first of this size and thinness.

The upgraded version of the G900 that supports this is named the "G903" and an updated G403 that supports it is named the "G703". Interestingly, Logitech also mentioned that the receiver module can be attached "in place of the weight door of a compatible mice", Possibly referring to the possibility of upgrading a G403 wireless for compatibility.

The G903 has a MSRP of US$150 and the G703 is US$100, while POWERPLAY itself is another US$100 (if I read it right).

EDIT: After watching the movie, I believe the weight door mention is not referring to the G403, but rather just the G903 and G703.

Hoping the G703(G403) has no loose scrollwheel problem. Mousepad looks awesome, just wished it was bigger. Probably wont get this pad unless they make a bigger version.

In both videos, Logitech announced that both mice have upgraded mechanical switches rated for 50 million clicks.

Ho lee Chris

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that the comfort of a Logitech shape, is inversely proportional to the R&D put into its making.

I hope this isn't all they announce... as much money as probably went into getting this tech to market, and as cool as it is, it's almost a let-down that this probably is all we'll see out of their mouse division for a while.

Very much this. I was expecting a full G700 successor (i.e., a large wireless palm grip mice), but they upped the G403 to that spot instead. In hindsight Logitech probably should've called the G703 from the very beginning to avoid confusion, but alas.

unfortunately the mouse pads look a little small for fps.
Aside from that it is nice to see at least one brand trying to push the whole wireless thing on the next level.

Man, I just know I'm going to pick up a G703 and a PowerPlay mousepad. It's really cool that they built in the receiver into the PowerPlay module so it always has Line of Sight with the mouse. Can't help but feel that wireless G403 and G900 adopters (I've sold all of mine) got screwed big time.
