Didn't they already change the shell slightly with the white glossy version? Thought that one had only one screw hole as well. Wonder if those two top shells are swap-able. Probably just wishful thinking since the PCB's are different, but hey.

Uhm, possibly, I never tried the white EC series as the EC is not my preferred mouse. I was mainly curious about their 3360 implementation this time.

I know the dimensions are exactly the same according to Zowie but are there any subtle changes to the shape that you notice Ino?

I think the BenQ coating is absolutely horrible, so I guess I'm gonna continue to use my EC2 eVo for now since I got sick of the Kinzu's low malfunction speed. rolleyes.gif

With the EC series and the black coating it’s always the first two minutes of using the mouse where it is slippery, but then with the tiniest bit of moisture I can grip them quite well. Also if I’m not mistaken the PCB dimensions and holes didn’t change, so you should be able to swap it into the glossy shells too if you have them.

I’ll try that tonight, unfortunately didn’t get to do much of anything since I got them because of work.

Yeah, feel the same about their coating, but the old white logo mice had this raw plastic feeling, which was also grippy for dry hands.

It would be nice if the shells are swapable though, because their mouse feet changed too. Separate back feet make the mouse really unstable for those that hold their mouse back heavy. This can make the mouse tilt over (G pro with its rounded back is very bad for this)

Alternatively you could throw money at both Zowie and GabeN and get this hideous thing instead, for science you know... maybe that coating is better. wink.gif

Honestly though... a logo on top of a logo with the Benq logo probably plastered on the side? Not to mention the CS logo's colour... No.

Anyway, i wonder how long it will take them to update the entire range.

None at all.

Why? I much prefer this over the white wheel with the bad lighting.

Oh, what’s that? You bought hyperglides for old ec? Well, that’s too bad m8.

I don't understand the hate for the black coating. I have a white logo, 24 step wheel EC-2a and the coating is actually one of the better ones. It sticks to the hand even when it's sweaty and greasy(unlike DA13 rubber side grips for instance). Or did BenQ did something to the coating after the purchase?
