Heyho,

new CM mouse was presented on CES: MM830 with hidden D-Pad (whatever this should be, maybe some capacity driven accutations or smth.)

Source

Details:

"hidden D-pad technology" with four buttons that can be pressed by rocking your thumb in various directions.
PBT chassis with full 16.7 million RGB options
96x94 OLED screen
Pixart 3360 sensor with up to 24,000 (adjustable) DPI
And a "Precision Wheel"

Kinda interested in the "hidden D-Pad" tech, how it works and how useable it will be.

Update:
Ah ok, the "hidden D-Pad" seems to be four buttons, "hidden" in the texture of the sidegrip:

Mice:
Logitech G903 (current daily driver), Rival 310, Logitech G403, Logitech G Pro, Logitech G303 , WMO-Adder (3.5G), Custom WMO 1.1a (/w Omrons), WMO, IE 3.0, Deathadder 2013, Roccat Savu, Roccat KPM, Steelseries Rival 700, Gigabyte Torq x5, Zowie EC2-A, Ducky Secret
Trackballs:
Logitech Trackman Wheel, Logitech M570, Kensington Slimblade
Mouspads:
Logitech Powerplay (/w softpad), Razer Goliathus Control (L) + Sphex, Roccat Sense, Steelseries QcK Heavy, Sharkoon 1337 XXL
Keyboards:
Ducky Shine 3 TKL MX-Black (main), Cherry G84-4100, Roccat Arvo, Logitech G13

Looks like another G502 variation. D-pad concept sounds terrible.

Mice currently owned: Logitech G402/G403/G303/G Pro, Zowie FK1/EC2-A/EC2-B/ZA12, Razer Deathadder 2013/Basilisk, Cooler Master Mastermouse S/MM530/MM520, Roccat Kone Pure Owl-Eye, Dream Machines DM1 Pro S/FPS/DM3 mini, EVGA Torq X3/X5, Ninox Venator, HP Omen 600, Thermaltake Ventus X RGB Optical/Ventus R, Microsoft WMO, Steelseries Rival 310, Nixeus Revel, Ozone Neon M50

Looking to buy and try: Ninox Astrum

I felt terrible using mm520 and 530.
First, both have rubber side grip and inner weight. Those make feel terrible.

Second, 520 is bad for claw and fingertip grip. I can't understand why they advertise mm520 as mouse for claw grip.

Third, coolermaster's calibration isn't good. Actually it's terrible.

they need someone to feedback for them. I think they have never grabbed their mice.

I've checked the MM520, it's quite good indeed. Without the right side rubber grip and the built-in weight it's really good for the price.

LCD display?
Sounds like unnecessary luggage.
This mouse will likely weigh too much.

Anyways, good to see new mice with good sensors coming out with new things (hidden thumb buttons).

That button gap is so big you could probably use the mouse as a phone stand.
