Sensor upgrade for g9x possible?

Has anyone managed to put a 3360 sensor inside the g9x? Or fit a 3360 mouse inside a g9x grip? anything similar?

i swear by god

thanks if you have anything to contribute to this topic. this mouse has the best fingertip grip design of all but it's stuck with a laser sensor...

Sure you can do it some people here might even do it for a price i dunno what the g9 is kike inside but generally you either stick a 3360 pcb mouse in the g9 shell cut out any plastic that stops it sitting flat and find some way to securely mount the pcb generally people cut out the posts from their other mouse and glue them on to the bottom of the modded mouse, or some one here more tech savy than i can use a custom board with a 3360 and do what every they do to fit it all in. But yes it's posible i put my rog sica 3310 pcb into some random old school samsung mouse shell(insane shell so good) trickiest part was getting the shells buttons to hit the omrons you have to do allot of cutting and testing of plastic pieces if the shell doesn't naturally allign, also cut a big hole in the bottom so the sensor can actually trackand the. might post some pics later.

here's what its like inside. I'd hacksaw the pcb across behind the wheel and desolder everything. that's what i did with my kone xtd. the tilt wheel won't work though.

Look at the Zalman 4k. It's a small shape similar to G100s, but a tiny bit smaller and better sensor. Looks almost identical to the g9x, minus the shell addon.

Hi.
My old dream is also related to the modification of the G9 mouse. This is the most convenient form for me, for which it is impossible to find a replacement.
I turned to Logitech with the question about what it was good to make a spectacular G9 mouse comeback, and do it on the basis of the actual sensor.
Logitech Marketers was not interested in this idea, as it seemed to me.
There is already experience in implementing 3366 in the body of another mouse (in Russian):
https://mysku.ru/blog/diy/62432.html

As for G9, it has a functional that is not inherent in other bodies, namely, a rocker for switching the DPI levels (+ and -). This is a problem for me, which I think about.
Nevertheless, for the solution of my problem the electrical circuit of G502 mouse can be useful. It also has a two-position switch for the DPI levels.
At the same time, I do not rule out the possibility of performing a modification with the Mercury sensor from the G102 mouse, which satisfies my requests. However, the G102 mouse has only one cyclic DPI switch, and its electrical circuit is constructed in a different way.
Here is my patient (fully operational) and his alleged donors:

Weren't you using the Aurora Tsubaki? Anyway, I saw a guy that fitted an NKEY G007 into a wide grip on this site. Post is here https://www.overclock.net/forum/26976409-post144.html

Thanks for the idea.
In this way, you can put the G9 armor on a G102 mouse. Although, this is only an approximation to the ideal form, because the functionality of the mouse G9 will be lost.
It is a pity that the armor does not fit on the G102 mouse (not compatible in size). But, if desired, you can refine the body of the mouse G102.
