However cable modding is a physical mod that "damages" the stock state of it.

If noobs wire it wrong and fry it manufacturers are well within their rights to deny warranty.

However if its just opening it up to clean it or to apply a paint job to the outter shell that should be fine.

With the way screws are behind the teflon feet there is a good chance that someone would damage the feet which in turn alters the smoothness and tracking height which would make tracking an issue

actually if the defect/fault is not caused by the repairs/modifications then the warranty still applies, though it can be hard to argue for something so cheap
