People seem to forget that the G Pro too is a continuation of the Logitech Pilot > MX300/G1/G3 > G100/G100s > G302/G303 > G Pro/G102/G203/G305 small ambi family.

They're actually very similar mice. The 302/303 had it's chopped haunches which excluded a more forward or backward grip. The G Pro has it's hunched back and inward slanting sides forcing a cramped grip most G1 lovers couldn't get used to. Especially not the 1-3-1 tippers.

The Aorus is much (4mm) lower than the G Pro, even lower than the G1 and G303, that's a huge difference. The difference in effective width from inward slant seems to be half that of the Pro, and it's wider than both Pro and G1 to begin with.

Ok, both the Aorus and the Pro narrow slighty at the front compared to the fully parallel G1. But hardly any modern ones are and it's the least noteable of the 3 main differences.

I created an account just to post in this thread. This is a passion of mine. The mx300/g1/g3 shape is the GOAT for me. I can't wait for the Aorus M2 as it appears to be the closest anyone has gotten. I'm also intrigued by the Bloody SP80 as it has the lowest height of any of the mice I've looked at.
  • mx300 | 115mm x 60mm x 38mm (edit: updated to 38mm)
  • Aorus m2 | 117mm x 63mm x 36mm
  • ABKO A660 | 117mm x 64mm x 38mm
  • CM Mastermouse S | 117mm x 63mm x 38mm
  • Evga Torq x5 | 118mm x 64mm x 38mm
  • Bloody SP80 | 122mm x 65mm x 30mm
  • ZOWIE S2 DIVINA | 122mm x 59mm x 38mm

Here are the above mice in profile view. I have ordered them from closest to mx300 to furthest (my subjective opinion).

G3 aka the GOAT

Aorus M2

CM Mastermouse S

Bloody SP80

ABKO A660

Evga Torq x5

Zowie Divina S2

You can still buy g100s from aliexpress/ebay right? It's probably closest you can get to the shape.

It has two drawbacks: high LOD - can easily be fixed with tape mod; doubleclicks can start happening after few months - can be solved by replacing switches with ones by your choice.

Replacement feet are still available as well.

It's just so wrong that the last release of this god shape was a half-assed 500Hz high lod sensor with terrible quality clicks that won't last even 6 months.

But all those issues can be easily fixed by anyone who is into mice. LOD is fixed with a bit of tape, and you can replace switches easily since they cost what, 1$? Yes, you can't get more than 500hz, but the sensor is good and that 1ms difference in the end won't be detrimental.

Are you certain? I couldn't find anything on Logitech's site. I got the measurements here http://www.esreality.com/post/1265749/logitech-mx300/

If that's wrong then i appreciate you pointing it out and will update my post.

Read up on newer G100s and G Pro specs for the height.

https://support.logitech.com/en_sg/p...ng-mouse/specs

Actually Logitech's specs says its 38mm height and 62mm width - which would make Zowie S2 and Mastermouse S the closest match.
