I would want a smaller version personally, or the materials used to be the way forwards in all their mice. It really is incredible how the build quality blows everything else away. I'm not exaggerating either, its head and shoulders above anything else I have tried or owned in terms of feel.

I hope I get used to the shape. It's not so friendly to my 1-3-1, so far...

Got around to paracording my Roccat Kain 120 today. The cable came from AusModShop, excellent quality as always. So glad that stock cable is gone lol. I also used the 3D printed cable holder so I wouldn't have to butcher the original.

For some reason one of the plastic posts that one of the four screws that hold the shell together broke off after removing the screw and the post fell out of the mouse when I separated the shell... Luckily this does not affect anything as there are clips either side of the mouse that help to hold the top and bottom shell together. So 3 screws is still plenty, nothing feels loose at all.

If Roccat ever decides on a Kain ambi with the profile of the right half of the mouse, I'm on board. I think that size would be impeccable.

The left side sits too high in a position I'm not comfortable with, and nowhere for my 1-3-1 to sit my ring finger comfortably either. Maybe with more time, but I already find myself not so reactive due to uncertainty with the grip. The G403 is just as high, so is the DA, but I could grip those more confidently and chuck it around. They have the same tall height, but in better places (G403) or is simply shaped better to squeeze (DA) during gameplay.

So, to me, this mouse is arguably the best to simply hold, but for playing, I think I'd need something else. If I had a larger hand, this would probably be perfect, but as it sits, I'm having trouble.

Thanks, yeah I'm very pleased with it. The purple sleeve has a nice but subtle shine to it. The paracords Ben at AusModShop makes are fantastic. The Kain feels so much better with a paracord.

I think the thing I'm most impressed with on the Kain is the scroll wheel. Probably one of the best I've used. The M1/M2 clicks feel good too but they aren't as tight as I expected, considering they're meant to be one of the primary features of the mouse. Both of my primary buttons on the Kain have a small amount of vertical freeplay and it's way to hard to access the switches to fix it. Having said that it's not a deal breaker at all.

Played a few games of Modern Warfare with the Kain since my last post. Honestly in real use, it feels great in every way except the weight. It's hard for me to get used to 90g again after using mice <70g for so long now. If we ever get a Kain Ultra at <80g I'd be all over that.

Hey, something good turned up at PCCG....

Just got this sent to me;

https://www.pccasegear.com/products/...b-gaming-mouse

So of course bought another Kain for my collection. This would be the 3rd model bought but my very first White coloured one.

It's good to be a Convict here, down under .
