do any of the new x570 boards have a dedicated mouse port to overclock like the fatal1ty ones?

the fatal1ty mobos by asrock had a very useful dedicated special usb port which allowed to overclock your mouse with their dedicated software solution instead of having to install unsigned drivers and run windows in test mode which ruined many anti cheat programs so you couldn't play certain games

the bad news is that i cannot find the x570 one, i think fatal1ty is no longer working with asrock

any ideas?

if there is no other way but to do it the oldschool way.. im moving from windows 7 to windows 10, can you do it without test mode? i play games that require test mode off

Fatal1ty mouse port goes up to 1000Hz , I don't see a point in looking for such a thing as mice from Logitech and such have 1000Hz via the mouse software.

"The ASRock F-Stream software also allows you to change the mouse polling rate from 125 Hz to 1000 Hz." - https://www.techarp.com/reviews/asro...g-k4-review/4/

I believe all the AM4 asrock Fatal1ty boards have the mouse port including the x470 series. So X570 might as well. But i haven't seen any X570 Fatal1ty boards yet.

It was a pretty niche feature tho, I mean how many people are still using mice old enough to not support 1000hz polling rate by default for gaming?

The "new' Microsoft Pro Intellimouse also has a 1000hz PR, so maybe just switch to that?

Edit: got the wrong Intellimouse

You could buy a G203 for about $25 that has 1000Hz polling rate. That's actually the default.

Why bother with an overclockable mouse port and still limit to 1khz?

You also get slanted crampy sides and hair trigger tensioned buttons
