Artisan Pad doesn't stick anymore?

Title. How does the back "stickering surface" work? Does it wear out or something? It just doesn't stick to the table anymore

Clean the table underneath with a damp cloth.

it stops sticking when it gets dusty. so you need to clean the underside with a wet cloth.
and it sticks a lot better when it's slightly moist. I use a mister spray bottle with water when I want to re-stick it/move it.

Some people have old wooden desks which have years of dirt/dust and grime, buried into the wood grain itself.

Owners of such desks need to clean the surface by using White Spirit and Turps mixed together. You'll be surprised how that clean white cloth with those mineral spirits become steadily dark and dirty as the grime is slowly removed from the wood surface.

The desk will become clean again, for that Artisan pad to stick to.
