just compare them to the white ones. if they glide the same it doesnt matter, if not ask for replacements.

Gotta wait for my Skoll to arrive before I can use the white ones. They are a very different shape to the others though, they're small ovals vs larger skates on Logitech/Zowie. Don't really know if that will make a difference.

No reply from Hyperglide today. Either way, I'd still like to know what the reason is.

Hey thanks heaps for letting me know. Matt and I were starting to think we must've been the only ones haha. Do your grey skates perform as well as the white ones?

Well I still can't get an answer that makes sense from Hyperglide. I previously said to them that despite what he told me (all Hyperglides are grey except MS-3) there appears to be mostly white samples out there regardless of the model, and that even the photos on their website are showing white skates. I provided a bunch of example images as attachments.

5 days went by with no reply so I politely asked again. This morning I got a slightly rude reply saying that he doesn't wish to comment and that I shouldn't be questioning the quality of their product...

I'm not necessarily saying they are faulty at this point because I just don't know. They very well could be fine. But I just want to understand why they are like this so I can know for sure. Giving an answer that contradicts the facts and deliberately avoiding further explanation just makes it look more suspicious... I wonder if he just doesn't know why they are grey..

I did once, I think that means they were just sitting in the box for a long while? They didn't feel any different I think.. but that was a while ago

Hey man thanks very much for your input, good to hear yours went okay despite the discoloration. It could be an age thing, but the GPW skates I got were grey too and they are constantly selling out. I had to snag these the moment they came back in stock. So I can say at least for my GPW set that they are likely fairly new.

I don't think I'm going to get a straight answer out of them seeing as they're ignoring the same questions from their authorised resellers as well. It may very well be something that doesn't matter at all, but it would've been nice if their staff were more co-operative in helping me understand what the cause is instead of deliberately avoiding talking about it.
