As said above, other than steelseries, most rubber on mice doesn't wear down anyway. The glue gives out well before the rubber due to heat. Cannot happen with the viper.
Nice! Thanks for your input. Getting tempted!

If it's the pmw 3335 ( or “Razer“ version ) , it's the same as in the Roccat Kain 200

Well, the wired is 3389, the wireless being 20k dpi should on the same level I guess...

From razer:
Quote:
MOTION SYNC

On a granular level, when your PC extracts information from another sensor, it does so at a rate that doesn’t align perfectly with the signal the mouse sends out.

With Motion Sync, this intelligent function ensures that the Razer™ Focus+ Optical Sensor has a higher sensor responsiveness. By syncing its signals at the exact intervals your PC extracts information, you’ll get the most current updates of your mouse position for more consistent tracking.

Motion sync is merely syncing MCU-sensor communication with USB polls. See here.

well idk if logitech has tried this yet, but i did and got it within ~1us

here, the oscilloscope is triggered by sensor communication in the main loop. the yellow trace is the usb D+ line from the receiver. i can explain in greater detail how it works but it's not very interesting.
and of course it's perfectly stable in mousetester
edit: found it
