Ohhh are you talking about how the mouse normally feels? Yeah man the Optical switches feel a lot different. Switching to the Viper from the G502 was really weird and took a while to get used to. But now it feels normal to me after using it a lot.

Optical switches WILL feel a lot different. It's the same with the optical keyboards I've used. The switches are completely different and will never completely feel the same. This is also real early tech. There are optical keyboards like previously mentioned, but only a handful of small companies make them and they vary wildly in how they feel. Optical mice are even rarer.

The "Bloody" brand is the only brand that readily comes to my mind when talking about Optical switches.

Misinformation should be a thing of the past. This is the age of information. You are obligated to accept facts and do proper research which is readily available to all. Become better, humanity.

Using one of their blue boards (older gen, without stabilizer) and it feels pretty much the same compared to any other MX blue clones.

Mouse is fine-ish (forgot which one I bought, was on their sale last year), click isn't as good as logitech but still doesn't feel hollow and much less overtravel/slack.

Different company and variations I guess.

Its been 9 days since I contacted Razer support because of my lense / sensor rattle issue and still got no replay. Is it normal that Razer support is this bad?

I prefer everything of the viper mini over the regular viper.

Only dislike I have is the weight is too light, makes me miss crucial shots ingame because I tend to over-move it (if thats a word).

However it's by far the best shape my hands have ever touched, super comfortable for me.

Can anyone tell me if it's worth updating to the latest official firmware (e.g. things like click latency improvements, sensor performance, polling rate etc)? Given that you usually can't downgrade once you update I like to be as certain as possible. Nothing's worse on the latest official firmware is it? It wasn't clear to me whether the previously discussed click latency problems were fixed in v1.01.02 or not.

The safest way to this is the same as bios updates - If you feel like you are having issues, not satisfied with the mouse then upgrade. If you are happy and there is nothing wrong (e.g heavily noticable flaws) then dont upgrade.

Firmwares rarely changes anything that makes the mouse better, they just fix issues. And if you are not having those issues it claims to fix, then dont bother upgrading.
