I think its the same sensor as the Viper Mini.
Currently there is a poll right now for Razer to see whether they should release it or new in NA.

I've been waiting years for another small ergonomic mouse like the G9x and this is pretty much it.
Hopefully it's released in America and Europe as well.

Would rather choose a Model D- only because it's not connected to Razer Corp(se) .

We are looking at a limited release outside China (online Razerstore only). I'm expecting a us to reach a decision this week.

It's an update to the 3339, which was previously used in Atheris and Abyssus line of mice.

OK , thx
but btw why u only plan to release small mice in asia and need a poll to do a small/limited release for the rest ?
I have Big Hands ... and yes to fully Palm , the normal DA is a bit too small ( IE3.0 was near to perfect for me to fully Palm it ) , but I also just prefer smaller mice now, especially after the CM Spawn ... small , short but wide
and there are so many EU and US people which are hoping for a smaller Version of the DA since Years ... and u think they just can get a limited amount? like Finalmeme ? not cool ...
also why dont put the "best" Sensor U get into it ?
I dont get it , never will understand that ... like Steelseries , as smaller the mice gets , so weaker the Sensor was ...
thats just stupid ...

We did large scale testing across the world (including 4 people from OCN), but the feedback on the shape was mixed. Only Asian markets were overwhelmingly aligned on what they wanted. The poll is to reconsider if there is any interest in the mouse at this size.

To be clear when I say limited, I mean that in terms of outlets/channels where it will be available, not in quantity. If you want to buy 10,000 units from Razerstore, go right ahead.

PS : Asia-exclusives aren't a new thing. There was a smaller Salmosa that was never released in western markets too.

I will be extremely blunt... not every mouse is designed to be a flagship. Small mice do a vast majority of their sales in Asia. For western markets, it's easy enough to say "i'd have paid $10 more for such and such upgrade" but 10$ is a HUGE difference in certain markets. Remember that $50 is already a borderline unreasonable amount of money to spend on a mouse for the vast majority of the world, and Asia is nearly 2/3rd of the world's population.

I was watching this video recently, which really conveys exactly the same point (but in context of CPUs) :
