Was debating on which gaming mouse to get. Still undecided on whether to get the Roccat Kone[+], Razer Naga Epic, or Cyborg R.A.T. 9. This new mouse will be replacing the old G9 while that will become my notebook mouse. Tough choices for a keyboard, mouse, and surface mat.

I personally roll on a Razer Goliathus Speed edition, Works great if your looking at soft pads!

I had looked at the Cyborg R.A.T. series but had heard others are better although the customization was great on them(RATs).

As for keyboard, check out the Keyboard Guide. Its more info than you'll need in this decade!

People should also look at how they hold their mice. The death adder is terrible for palm grips and if you are a palm gripper and own a death adder you should know what I'm talking about. If not, then you obviously haven't used something else such as the mionix naos mice.

The Cyborg R.A.T series feel pretty cheap imo and aren't that great. Razer Naga is generic razer quality and you'll never use all of the buttons.

If you're a palm grip (http://www2.razerzone.com/MouseGuide...ip-illus03.jpg)
and play w/ low sensitivity, then I highly recommend this combination:

Mionix naos 3200, Zowie G-TF mouse pad and some random keyboard (I recommend steelseries 6gv2)

Mionix:

Well I do use the palm grip and thought the G7 was comfortable. Looks like a toss-up between the Roccat Kone[+] or Mionix Naos 5000. Wouldn't mind an aluminum or hard plastic surface mat. As for the keyboard, I'm waiting for XArmor to release their new mechanical keyboards next month/February since I got a discount code.

Oh and don't forget that "Sound Feedback".
Yeah easyshift, which is major, the absolute best mouse software on the market, great function assignments to buttons that beats out most other mice, if not all, the ability to set the lift off behaviors, which by all accounts works very well, and nice weight customization.

The Death Adder has cheap plastic, and Razor's average software.

Unless you have absoloutely huge hands, don't get the Kone. It also has unresponsive buttons if you're a fingertipper/claw holder, if you press the ends of the button, you will get a reassuring "click" but the button will not activate.

My cousin has one, personally, I hate it.

Go for a Deathadder or G500, or similar.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Is the only difference the DPI/sensor? Their website seemed to make it seem that way... Any actual improvements?

Also, Is Deathadder as good as most make it seem? How are the side buttons (not cheap springy?), good for rapid fire, Glossy really that awful?

Its on for 40$ but not sure if want(Razer, not kone). Kone is something I hear nothing about and looking into a bit more

Any Replies Appreciated

EDIT: Is older Deathadder (3g) better?
I had the kone. I now have the plus and its the best gaming mouse i have ever used. Such quality.

I actually found the lift off settings did not work well on cloth pads. However on hard pads the lift off distance when set to low is literally half a millmetre up and it stops.
