I'm looking at the Roccat Kone but there's also a Kone + (Plus)

Is the only difference the DPI/sensor? Their website seemed to make it seem that way... Any actual improvements?

Also, Is Deathadder as good as most make it seem? How are the side buttons (not cheap springy?), good for rapid fire, Glossy really that awful?

Its on for 40$ but not sure if want(Razer, not kone). Kone is something I hear nothing about and looking into a bit more

Any Replies Appreciated

EDIT: Is older Deathadder (3g) better?

I got my Roccat Kone + quite recently.

Other differences between the Kone and Kone + are:

1) The Easyshift option which allows you to assign a second function to each mouse button when you hold down the Easyshift button.

2) The Kone + has more patterns and options for the LED lights

3) Looks slightly different (better imo)

Apart from the sensor, there aren't any other differences I could find. To be honest, I wouldn't say any of those are worth the extra money. I never use the Easyshift function and the other two are just aesthetic. Would probably save my money and go for the standard Kone if I could do it again.

You must remember that the sensors are very important. From what I've gathered, the Kone+ has one of the best and most accurate sensors on the market. The Death Adder is also up there in sensor quality (the DPI difference is mostly irrelevant). Not sure about the original Kone. The Kone+ has a lot unique features too, for a price.

Glossy is indeed aweful as it because extremely sticky feeling if your hands become sweaty. Ergonomics are mediocre; however, the sensor is amazing.

Easyshift and probably the most advanced lightning, that's it.
Oh and don't forget that "Sound Feedback".

deathadder=sex
exact mat=sex
so,
eXact Mat+Deathadder=SEX+1
(lol)
anyway, i have never used the Kone before, but it seems loaded with gimmicks. the deathadder (i haz 1800DPI version) has the PERFECT shape for ppl with fingertip and palm grip, and its buttons are great quality!
its a solid mouse that really kicks ass!
trust me, it will be the best 40 bucks you would have ever spend on a mouse

i also suggest the eXact mat+rest if you could find it.
if not the vespula is great too

Think Bullveyr has it about right. That sound feedback is super annoying. Mine has been off from the start.

I take back what I said about before Easyshift not being good though. I've been using it tonight and it's really useful being able to control things multiple things with just the mouse. Still wouldn't say it's worth the extra cash, but it's useful none the less.
