SOLVED Z370 A PRO motherboard does not see the bios file on usb stick

I need help with this cos its driving me mad.
I have a Z370 A PRO motherbord, and I wanted to update the bios, so I went to the MSI website found the bios file for my motherboard, formatted a flash drive to FAT32 and coped the bios file to the drive (yes i unzipped the bios file to ), and rebooted in the flash bios menu...and i can see the flash drive but there is no bios file anywhere to be found..

the bios file is

E7B48IMS.280

am i doing something wrong here?

rename it to something like BIOS.rom. Maybe it's getting tripped up over the ".280" and thinks ".280" is the extension? Doubtful though.

You should be able to save the BIOS to a drive though. Just store it on the base directory (C:/) and have it read it from there.

yea with this motherboard it will only read from a USB drive, if you don't plug it in it just exits the flash window

its using M-FLASH from what is says in the bios.

SOLVED IT .. I ENDED UP USING AFUDE238 AND FLASH IT THAT WAY..
still annoying that M-flash does not see the bios file.
