Memory Card Reader help

I Need a Memory card reader for my Desktop computer
I have some photos on SDcard from my camera and a microsd also
I will only use Microsd and SD card transfer it to my PC

My Pc is Windows 7 Pro without Sp1 (no upgrade i want to do right now)
Can i use this Memory card reader Kingston FCR-HS4
https://www.kingston.com/en/flash/re...S1vgxHTqw2DMxM

This is what worry me it say under compatbility
windows 7 but with Sp1, and i dont have Sp1 (click specs on the link above)

Will the card reader still work on Windows 7 without Sp1?
Also can i conect it to USB2 ports (it come only with Usb3 cable)
will it work on Usb2 i know is slower but will it work

I have not purchased it yet so can someone check it out for me

So 2 questions
1. Will it work on My Pc windows 7 profesional without Sp1
2. can i conect it to Usb2 with the suplied usb3 cable and it will work (slower is ok) ?

I talked with Kingston but Not even Kingston can give me an answer
Kingston say card reader have not been tested on Windows 7 without Sp1
so they cannot guarantee it work.
That answer from Kingston is not not good company not know

If you have been keeping up with Win 7 updates from Microsoft for at least up to April of 2010, your copy of Win 7 will be the equivalent of SP1. SP1 just has updates prior to its release in March of 2010 rolled into the installation.

The card reader you linked should work just fine. What I don't like about it is you have to set down on a desk surface and connect it to the USB port on the computer with a cable. If you don't like that either, the MobileLite G4 listed above in your link should work as well and can be plugged directly into a USB port. Kingston makes pretty good products. I haven't had one fail on me yet and I have a couple of dozen of their flash drives, several camera cards, and eight sticks of RAM in my old desktop (I gave that RAM away after the old desktop died). Their only downside is their budget flash memory tends to be a bit on the slow side (you get what you pay for).

Note my use of the word should. I haven't actually used them so I can't honestly recommend them with 100% certainly though I've had enough experience with card readers in general to judge if something should work for a particular application. Most companies will not recommend their products for certain applications unless they have actually tested them on those applications. The ones that will recommend products on untested applications are the ones I wouldn't trust. Kingston was being completely honest with you and their recommendations can be trusted. If you're ever in doubt about a product, buy it from a company that has a generous return for refund policy.
