[Videocardz] Picture of ASUS X470 ROG “Hybrid” motherboard leaks out

" ROG X470 motherboard from ASUS. The motherboard has no branding, except for “Republic” and “Hybrid”, so we are not sure if this is a motherboard from Crosshair series, STRIX series or something new like Zenith."

The lineup supposedly is:
PRIME X470-PRO
ROG STRIX X470-F GAMING
ROG STRIX X470-I GAMING
ROG CROSSHAIR VII HERO
ROG CROSSHAIR VII HERO (WI-FI)
TUF X470-PLUS GAMING

----
EDIT: Here's how the X370-F STRIX looks with lights off by the way

I like that design. Doesn't seem as "gamer". Look more clean.

Does it still not have a proper VRM heatsink?

XFR2 , XFR2 enhanced, and Precision Boost 2 , precision Boost overdrive, better power delivery (per AMD slides) , better memory support.

With X370 you lose XFR2 enhanced and Precision Boost overdrive. (https://www.vortez.net/news_story/am...il_launch.html)

Asus reportedly has 7 X470 motherboards , so this confirmed the models

Gigabyte supposedly has 3 , one of which is the x470 Gaming 7 that was the first X470 previewed (with a real VRM heatsink)

MSI also has 3 x470 boards

Asrock has 6 X470 boards --- if they implement Dual BIOs from midrange upwards as on Intel Z370 then Gigabyte should be very afraid of their market position

Biostar has 2 x470 boards

im not a fan on those covers closer to the vrms.. Specially knowing this 8core cpus can pull 150-200w easy

It looks like this people never learn .

They probably also castrated the vrm temp diode for a reason, like they did on the x370/b350 strix motherboards as well as my z370 strix-g

seems the Prime X470 Pro has the memory clocks limit raised to 4200MHz

Hybrid? Unlikely. Long gone are the days of being able to use competing CPUs on a single board. So what is hybrid about it?

Will it come bundled with RAM and GPU? As good luck buying these separately. ASUS could definitely do bundles with GPUs if they ever wanted to stop selling to farmers and get GPUs to common people.

I will say they got one thing right, at least the M.2 is above the x16 slot. I cooked my first M.2 because the slots directly under the GPU...
